Pai Gow

This has become one of my favorite games in Vegas. This is a great game to play for hours, get a nice buzz going, and not get hurt in the pocket. The other nice thing about this game is for the most part the dealers will help you play if you don't know how. My 2 favorite places to play Pai Gow are TI and Bill's. However I ran into Rita playing this game at Bill's and that's when my luck took a bad turn. If Katina is dealing this game at Bills though I will play there for hours. TI has some good dealers as well, like Lucky Louie. Chach you will be introduced to this game quite a bit in Vegas. I don't know if Jersey has played before, and J refused in years past as he says its too hard to figure out.

Son of a B*tch

Bill's Gambling Hall will be another stop on our trip, as long as my face isn't posted up at this place. I like this place for its low limits, and I fall into the upper class at this casino. I have my favorite dealers here, Katina. There are also some that I would like to forget, Rita. Besides almost getting kicked out of this place once, its OK by me. I have some relatives who would strongly recommend signing up for the Bills Casino Card in the hopes of hitting Bills Big Bonanza where they add credits to your card. The sports book here is great for putting in bets, but not the place to view the game. Skip the 99 cent Margarita here and walk a little further down and grab one from Margaritaville. I'm sure Ill be playing craps here at some point.

Welcome Back

After a week off the posting resumes. Hope all of those on vacation enjoyed their trips. A new poll will be up at some point during the week, my guess would be around Wednesday or Thursday. Today is Ballys. I have stayed here as well, and was quite surprised. The rooms have been redone over the years and I was lucky to get a newer room when I stayed. Gambling here is similar to Flamingo. Last time here with J, I found a game I enjoyed.......Casino War. I refuse to play this ever again. Also this is where I left J behind after he started to wager against me on the roulette table. Everything worked out as I went down to Bill's Gamblin Hall and ended up on a HOT Craps table. Only thing about Bally's is its a little ways down the strip from my usual hangouts, but I know we will be here for the Price is Right Show so chances are we will do some gambling here.

The Flamingo

This place isn't too bad. I actually like the Flamingo. I've stayed here before and the rooms aren't bad, but the elevator is a little shaky. On Thursday nights they have a party pit area of tables with girls dancing in the center.........Very Nice!!! I have come to like the Pai Gow tables here as most of there tables are low sitting ones, as oppose to sitting in the high chairs. They do have a couple of good video poker machines I was introduced to last year while there. I tend to do more walking around in this casino than gambling though for some reason.

Harrahs

After downing some quality food and beverages at Stripburger it will be time to hit the strip and some tables. Harrahs should have some low limit tables $5-$10. I actually have only played a video slot machine at this place, never have played any tables here. I think it was the Price is Right video slots. Not a bad place, your average gambler resides here. A step up in clientele from the IP, Casino Royale, or Bills Gamblin Hall and Saloon. Over the years this place has gone with a Country music theme inside, placing a Toby Keith's I love This Bar restaurant inside. They also have some type of Toby Keith Table Pit area that Ive walked by numerous times, but have never sat down to play.

Stripburger

After checking out the fine sights around the IP, it should be about time to hit up Stripburger. This is a new favorite place of mine in Vegas. In fact last time there it was visited twice. If I recall the bartender was quite attractive as well. This place is a good place for a burger, and has TVs to catch any games that may be on. I believe if we can grab some seats together at the bar it may be the best bet. I recommend the bacon and cheddar burger here. As for cocktails here Ive only had the draft beer, but J there is a Jumbo Cocktail here called Tickle Me Pink which sounds right up your alley. My guess would be that J will forget all that he has eaten/drank all day and go for a Chocolate Shake here which could equal disaster, and of course an order of fries with ranch. Chach will probably go mini burgers and a beer, keeping it classic. Jersey is the mystery here, but I'm gonna guess a beer. If they had Kobe Burgers he would go for that. Check it out http://www.lasvegasstripburger.com/menu.html

Shangri-La

After collecting our winnings from the afternoons baseball games we can head back and check into the hotel. This can give us some time to check out the hotel. I have stayed here before and really have only seen the room and the casino. We did have a balcony on the room last time that overlooked the pool, but it was February and quite cool to swim. Once we check out our living quarters for the week, and J unloads his 50 hair care items we can check out the scenery at the pool. Mind you these rooms are free, and the clientele at the IP is a little seedy, we may be able to find some quality floozies.

Play Ball

After loading up on a breakfast buffet we can then waddle over to the sports book at TI. I will be taking a detour to the restroom, I already have stall 3 reserved. Once I finish taking care of business in there I plan to take care of business in the sports book. I will probably bet both Chicago teams while there depending on the starting pitcher. However, after the 1st week of the season they both might be in the basement by the time June rolls around. I know J will never bet on the Cubs, but may bet against them every day. He will take the Sox everyday and will be looking for side bets every time Konerko is batting claiming it will be a homer. Chach will break down the games and only take the Cubs if he feels they will win, but will not bet against them. He has no loyalty to the Sox and could bet with them or against them depending on his break down for that days game. Jersey will bet his East Coast teams and wont even know the Cubs or Sox are playing.

All You Can Eat

Once are bets are placed it will be time to head over to the buffet. Dishes at TI is pretty good. My only complaint here is the peel your own shrimp. I prefer the ready to eat ones at Cravings at the Mirage, but the pastry/dessert bar at Dishes is phenomenal. I have to recommend the mini donuts. We will be here for the Champagne Brunch which will have quite an array of food. I suggest J obtain a bib if he is doing any kind of BBQ here, and I will be sitting far away from that mess. Dishes also has some good Sushi if that is your thing.

Place Your Bets

Once we drop our bags at IP it may be a mad dash to get over to the TI sports book to get our Sunday Baseball bets in. This will need to take place before we dine at the buffet. For some first timers like Chach the sports book can be very overwhelming, but after a few trips up to the window its a piece of cake. There is a lot of action that can be had during baseball. You can bet a certain team, the over/under of total runs for the game, or the over/under of runs+hits+errors. I will break down Sunday's games on the plane over many beverages. For those that would like to partake I like to throw in 1 super-duper parlay. This consist of m taking 3 or 4 teams i like that day for what hopefully will be a nice payout. Who's in?
